How To Treat Psoriasis.
Here are some of my tips on how to treat your psoriasis naturally. My disclaimer; I sometimes, use prescription ointment (Clobetasol) to keep my psoriasis breakouts in control when they get out of control. Winter time is usually the worst, with the dry cold air and no real sun., Throughout the rest of the year I live as naturally as I possibly. I try and not take any medication I don’t really need. You need to do what is best for you also and if just doing it naturally, doesn’t work then please, seek medical help. But continue to live as natural as possible.
Here Is How I treat My Psoriasis
1st – Try and live a calm and peaceful life. Slow down and take it easy. I know it’s easier said than done, but for myself leaning and trusting in a power greater than myself, whom I choose to call God, has given me peace of mind beyond my understanding. Smile, be grateful. Keep it simple. Be calm, cool and love life!
2nd – If you are able to stay away from alcohol and smoking you will be way ahead of the game. Not be adding all of those foreign chemicals that are super bad for your body. You have seen enough commercials to know all of the killer chemicals that are in cigarettes. Not to mention the strain alcohol puts on your liver trying to filter out all of that alcohol.
3rd – Eat healthy; I eat wholesome, quality foods. I do drink my coffee. What I do not do, is eat a whole bunch of junk. We grow our own fruits and veggies. We raise our own meat. If you cannot, try and eat as wholesome as you possibly can. Watch the processed foods like breads and sugars. Stay away from too much citric fruit, your body likes to stay at a neutral pH level and adding a lot of citric acid throws it off of that balance and you could get a break out.
4th – I use our natural, goats milk soap. Usually the Oatmeal and Honey bar, then right out of the shower I use our Oatmeal and Honey lotion. I also use the Pure and Natural soap and lotion too. When my psoriasis is acting up I have to use the Pine Tar soap and prescription drugs, when I have a severe breakout. What works best for me right now is Clobetosol ointment (a steroid). I really have not found any over the counter drug that works well for me.
Goats Milk Soap Is Good For Treating Your Psoriasis Naturally?
What are you washing your body with? Did you know in a basic commercial brand of soap could have up to 15 different chemicals that are no good for your body and you are just willy -nilly, freely adding them into your body. Why?
Commercial soaps may contain some or all of these ingredients: Ammonia, Formaldehyde, Propylene Glycol, Parabens, Urea, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Sodium Cocoylisethionate, Stearic Acid, Synthetic Preservatives, Sodium Tallowate, Synthetic FD&C dyes, Sodium Isethionate, DEA, Coconut Acid, BHT, Sodium Stearate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Chloride, Titanium Dioxide, Tetrasodium, EDTA, Trisodium Etidronate, Aluminum, Isopropyl Alcohol, AHA.
What are you washing your hair with? What kind of cancer causing parabens, heavy metals and toxins are adding to your system when you are moisturizing your skin?
One of the reasons we started raising goats wash to make our own natural, goats milk soaps for my psoriasis and my wife’s sensitive skin and for a pimply preteen. Pure Goats Milk is loaded with over fifty essential nutrients, like vitamins A, B1, B6, B12, C and E, minerals, amino acids, unsaturated fatty acids, natural enzymes, and a variety of other nutrients that nourish and revitalize dehydrated skin that restore, rejuvenate and help keep your skin healthy, without adding any harmful chemicals.
To explain a little further goats milk has Caprylic Acid, known for soothing damaged and dry skin and rejuvenating healthy, new skin. Goats Milk also contains Lactic Acid, this is an alpha-hydroxy acid, which removes dead skin cells, and is believed to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. If anyone in the human population needed these qualities in a skin care product it would be those suffering from psoriasis.
For my psoriasis
I personally use our Oatmeal & Honey Bar. It is (as all of our bars are) made with goats milk (25% of the bar),coconut, olive and palm oils. And I add ground oats and pure honey. Oatmeal, is very well known for its moisturizing qualities. I know you have heard of oatmeal baths. And honey, has anti-viral and anti-bacteria properties.
If you take a warm (not hot) bath and wash yourself with the Oatmeal and Honey Bar. Wash your hair with it too and then soak in the milk, oils, oatmeal and honey for 15 minutes or so you will get out refreshed, totally moisturized and hydrated.
My psoriasis never goes away, but it does get much better if I take care of it using our goats milk soaps & lotions!
I am healthier and I did not add any unwanted, harmful chemicals to my body. After a bath I put on my Oatmeal and Honey lotion (which is made of goats milk, sweet almond oil, avocado oil and shea butter) and I really do feel awesome. I usually have to moisturize daily with my lotion and I bath every other day.
They say, too much bathing is not good for your psoriasis and I would normally agree if I was adding garbage to my body, but bathing every other day and adding all this awesome moisturizing oils and nutrients to my psoriasis and body make my psoriasis so much better than it has ever been in my life.
Try the “Pure and Natural Soap” and if you want to try the old-fashioned, natural soap recipe for healing your psoriasis try our “Good Ole’ Pine Tar Soap”, it smells very piney, but there are those that have swore by this soap recipe for the psoriasis for 100s of years.
When you are out of the bath Put on the Silly Goats Soap Lotions. I personally like to use the Oatmeal and Honey lotion with the Oatmeal and Honey Soap. Or the Pure and Natural Lotion goes with any of the soaps you use!
