Goat Milk Lotion FAQ

1. Do you use fresh goat milk in your lotion?
Yes! We raise registered LaMancha dairy goats right here on our Kentucky farm. We milk our goats ourselves and use 100% fresh goat milk in our goat milk lotion — no water added in place of the milk.

2. What are the benefits of goat milk lotion?
Goat milk naturally contains fats, vitamins, minerals, and lactic acid that make it a wonderful ingredient for moisturizing skincare. Combined with our blend of skin-loving oils and shea butter, our goat milk lotion helps moisturize, soften, and nourish dry skin.

3. What makes your goat milk lotion so moisturizing?
It isn’t just the goat milk! We make our lotion with olive oil, sweet almond oil, avocado oil, sunflower oil, and shea butter. This rich blend helps replenish moisture and leaves dry skin feeling softer, smoother, and more comfortable.

4. Can I use goat milk lotion on my face?

Everyone’s skin is different, so what works well for one person may not work for another. Some of our customers use our regular Goat Milk Lotion on their face and love it, while others find that their facial skin needs something different. If you have acne-prone or particularly sensitive facial skin, we recommend starting with a small amount to see how your skin responds. We also make moisturizers specifically formulated for facial use.

5. Is your goat milk lotion good for dry or sensitive skin?

Our goat milk lotion is especially popular with customers looking for gentle, moisturizing care for dry or sensitive skin. If you’re sensitive to fragrance, we recommend our Pure & Natural Unscented Goat Milk Lotion, made without added fragrance or essential oils.

6. Can I use goat milk lotion every day?
Absolutely. Our goat milk lotion is designed for everyday moisturizing and can be used whenever your skin feels dry. Many customers use it after bathing or showering, after washing their hands, or anytime their skin needs a little extra moisture.

7. Do you offer fragrance-free goat milk lotion?
Yes. Our Pure & Natural Goat Milk Lotion is unscented and contains no added fragrance or essential oils. It’s a great choice for people who prefer fragrance-free skincare or have fragrance-sensitive skin.

8. Why does your goat milk lotion contain a preservative?
Because our lotion contains fresh goat milk and other water-based ingredients, an effective preservative is important to protect the finished lotion from microbial growth. We use Optiphen, a paraben- and formaldehyde-free preservative system, to help keep our lotion safe and stable throughout its shelf life.

9. How long does goat milk lotion last?
Every bottle of our goat milk lotion receives a Best By date when we make it. Our lotions are dated for two years from the date of manufacture. For the best experience, store your lotion at normal room temperature and use it by the date printed on the bottle.

10. Where is your goat milk lotion made?
Right here on our farm in South-Central Kentucky! From milking our LaMancha goats to making and bottling the finished lotion, we’re a small family farm business and make our goat milk skincare in small batches.

I have very dry, sensitive skin and in my 60s developed eczema after my immune system went a little crazy following a bout of sepsis.. I found goat milk lotions were way more soothing than the prescription cream my doctor prescribed but this lotion is by far the best I’ve tried. It feels so nice going on, soothes any eczema flares and best of all, keeps my hands soft through several washings. My original intention for purchasing this goat milk lotion was to rub on my belly during my pregnancy. It ended up working wonders for a skin condition I have. After years of trying to find something to help my skin I have finally found it. I have a common skin condition called keratosis pilaris. It is common among children and teens and usually gets better by adulthood. In my case it has not become better and I am coming up on 30. It definitely makes people self conscious and gets worse in the winter months. I noticed a difference after the first use. I have been using the oil less moisturizer for about a year now and I’m only on my second bottle, so it lasts a long time. I use two pumps in before bedtime and only one in the day since I use a tinted moisturizer in lieu of foundations. I’m 59 and my dermatologist tells me my skin looks fantastic and to keep “doing whatever you’re doing”. If that’s not an endorsement of this product I don’t know what is. Also, I have chronic dry eye syndrome (I have been prescribed Retasis and it works) and my Opthamologist told me not to use any moisturizer with parabens around my eyes because they tend to block/clog the oil ducts in the eyelid. He approves of the ingredients in the oil less moisturizer as well. As a HUGE bonus….my husband has very sensitive skin and has never been able to find an aftershave moisturizer that doesn’t burn. He uses this product successfully – it doesn’t burn at all!! So now I have to buy him his own bottle :) Eunace Ahn
