Hemp skincare can be a little confusing, especially when it comes to hemp seed oil, CBD, and choosing the right product for your skin. Here are answers to some of the most common questions we receive about our handcrafted Hemp skincare products.

1. What is hemp seed oil, and why is it used in skincare?
Hemp seed oil is pressed from the seeds of the hemp plant and is naturally rich in fatty acids, including Omega-3 and Omega-6. These fatty acids help nourish and moisturize dry skin and support the skin’s natural moisture barrier. We use cold-pressed hemp seed oil in our Hemp skincare products along with fresh goat milk and other skin-loving ingredients. Hemp seed oil contains both omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids.

2. Does your Hemp skincare contain CBD?
No. Our Hemp products are made with hemp seed oil, not CBD oil. Hemp seed oil comes from the seeds of the hemp plant, while CBD is primarily derived from other parts of the plant. The hemp seeds themselves do not naturally contain CBD or THC.

3. Will hemp skincare get me high?
No. Hemp seed oil is not marijuana and does not produce a “high.” Hemp seeds themselves do not naturally contain THC, the compound responsible for marijuana’s psychoactive effects.

4. Is hemp seed oil good for dry skin?
Hemp seed oil is a wonderful ingredient for dry skin because it contains essential fatty acids that help moisturize and condition the skin without relying on harsh detergents or drying ingredients. We combine hemp seed oil with fresh goat milk to create rich, moisturizing products designed especially with dry skin in mind.

5. Is hemp skincare good for sensitive skin?
It can be a great choice for many people with sensitive skin, but everyone’s skin is different. We offer several Hemp products, including unscented options, for customers who prefer to avoid added fragrance. If you have especially sensitive skin, we recommend checking the full ingredient list and testing a small area first.

6. Can I use your Hemp products if I have eczema or psoriasis?
Many customers with very dry, sensitive or problem skin choose our Hemp products because of their rich, moisturizing ingredients. However, eczema and psoriasis are medical conditions, and skincare products affect everyone differently. Our products are intended to cleanse and moisturize the skin, not diagnose, treat or cure a medical condition.

7. What is the difference between your Hemp Lotion and Hemp Whipped Cream?
Both are made to moisturize dry skin, but the biggest difference is richness and texture. Our Hemp Lotion is a lighter everyday moisturizer, while our Hemp Whipped Cream is thicker and richer for areas that need extra moisture. If your skin gets extremely dry — especially hands, feet, elbows and knees — the Whipped Cream may be the better choice.

8. Can I use Hemp Lotion on my face?
You can, but facial skin varies greatly from person to person. Some people love a richer moisturizer on their face, while others may find it too heavy. We recommend trying a small amount first and seeing how your skin responds.

9. Are your Hemp products made with fresh goat milk?
Our goat milk Hemp products are handcrafted on our Kentucky farm using fresh goat milk from our own registered LaMancha dairy goats along with cold-pressed hemp seed oil. We don’t reconstitute powdered goat milk or dilute our goat milk with added water.

10. What does hemp skincare smell like?
That depends on the product. We offer both scented and unscented Hemp skincare options. If you are sensitive to fragrance or simply prefer fragrance-free skincare, look for our Unscented Hemp products.

I have diachronic eczema on my hands. It’s an endless cycle of blisters all over my palms then prescription ointment to dry up the blisters. What comes next is cracks and peeling skin which is extremely dry and painful. I had tried everything type of ointment and lotions and nothing relieved my misery. This is the absolute best body cream or lotion I’ve ever used!!!! It is not greasy, goes on like light and fluffy and immediately starts sinking in and mouisturizing right away! It doesn’t take a lot to cover the areas you are covering, and I didn’t need to reapply all day!! My skin felt the softest ever! I fell in love!! So worth the money! Highly recommend for anyone who has dry skin, or skin issues, also health issues that cause or requires you to moisturize more often! I have lymphedema in my legs post cancer surgery. My legs get dry fast and swell and ache also I have to be very careful not to get a cut or opening as infection will set in quickly and it takes months to heal ! Very similar to diabetic leg problems. My doctor said not to use anything I couldn’t eat to moisturize with but I hate the way oil feels going on. I took this to her and she also said it was a great product. I would like to see some more fragrances in this, it’s all I use now. I received this lip balm for Christmas and I’m in love with it. It melts right into your lips on contact, it doesn’t leave a waxy coating on your lips like other brands. You can feel the balm on your lips once it melts, but it isn’t an overly oily feeling. It feels like a nice light glossy shine. The ingredients are listed on the tube, which is always a plus for me. I live in Hong Kong and I have been using your product for years now. I can’t even remember when I started buying and how I found you. Because you do not ship overseas, I order through my daughter, Bianca. She lives in Georgia She sends it to me by USPS. Takes about 2-3 weeks to get to me.
I have very sensitive and dry skin so I can’t use anything with so much chemicals and unnatural scents. It took me a while before I found your goat milk soap and lotion. The milk is definitely made of natural and pure ingredients. Your lotion moisturizes smoothly, totally non-greasy. Not only does the soap and lotion not make my skin itch, it also smells amazing. The smell stays on throughout the day. With the USPS, the soap and lotion gets a little pricey. I am willing to pay the price because the products are totally worth it.
